My name is James Pearce — British expat, La Jolla resident, and someone who spent far too much of the late 90s in the UK club scene. Cream, Ministry of Sound, and Renaissance shaped my love of house music back in the days of vinyl and turntables.

30 years and four kids later, my turntables are digital. I live in La Jolla with my British wife and four American boys. By day I'm a biotech founder; by night and weekends, I'll happily play whatever gets people dancing; House, Hip Hop, Golden Oldies, Rock, Pop or One Hit Wonder mashups, with a knack for finding that tune you'd long forgotten.

The name? JP should be obvious. And since my Mum is the only person who ever calls me Dr Pearce, I figured booking enquiries were a good excuse to finally flash the PhD.

Whether you just need the kit to run a party off your own playlist, or you want someone to keep the energy moving all night — I'll do everything I can to make your event a success.
